simple..but happy me...

hi everyone i'm christine ngo...but i prefered to be called "cheri".

i'm a 29 year old graphic designer, full-time mom to my two wonderful boys, a loving wife to my husband and a crafter at the same time.

freelance graphic designer...

In 2001 i graduated at the University of the East. i took up fine arts;major in advertising. my mother wants me to be an interior designer instead but i insisted to be in the field of advertising. i can still reminisce how my passion for arts began...when i was a kid, my mother and aunties will gather me, my sister cristy, and my cousin enad to draw things that we love. My sister cristy will draw places, and human figures, my cousin enad as a boy of course love to play and draw robots, but me being the bunso that time and having the child-like attitude loves to draw cartoons, animes, dolls, princesses..etc. i always carry a notebook with me and collect playing cards of girl superheroes and draw them on my companion notebook =D. Since then i had built a courage to join school art competitions. some i won but most of them i lost. but that didnt pushed away my dream of being an artist. until i graduated and work in an advertising agency, apparel industry. but working with those companies didn't made me happy..i decided to work for myself, be my own boss and to have all the time in the world and do the things i love! ;D

full time mom and a loving wife...

Since i resigned from the company i'm working with, my husband and i decided to contact retail businesses to do promotional items for them, we invested in computer unit, techie gadgets, printers etc..we decided to be our own boss. Being the boss of my own, i was able to bring and fetch my son to school lots of time to play with him. i was also able to build a bond between me and my husband, which i think i could not do working on an 8-hour working hours. He was able to eat my home prepared foods, i was able to say goodbye before he go to office. Those were little things but they made me happy and fulfilled. full time mom and a wife is a profession i would not regret.

crafter...

I OH-SO-LOVE crafting! i love fixing, crafting, scrap books, sewing and sculpting with my bare little hands ;D. i can still remember when i used to make dresses and gowns for my (cheap) barbie doll when i was 9. i don't have enough money that time that i will cut used clothes just to create dresses for my doll. i also love scrapbooking, capturing and seizing moments, sewing felt cloths, i love doing and making things related to the word C-R-E-A-T-I-V-I-T-Y...

for now, im into my latest passion...being a CLAY CRAFTER! =D
